I stayed at Hotel Longhouse in Kuching for a few nights, and while it had its ups and downs, overall it was an experience. The location was decent, not too far from the waterfront, but the hotel itself felt a bit worn out. I had issues with Wi-Fi and room changes, but the staff were quick to help when needed.

My stay at Hotel Longhouse had its ups and downs. While I enjoyed the clean rooms and daily upkeep, I faced challenges with a noisy street-side room and poor internet connectivity. The location was convenient for exploring the waterfront on foot, but some amenities felt outdated.

Rooms
6.0
I initially struggled with my first room on the street side, which was noisy and disruptive. However, after switching rooms, my second one was much quieter and more comfortable. Both had daily cleaning and provided a fridge and a desk, but the first room's discomfort brought my score down.
Service
5.0
The staff was generally quick to respond when issues arose, like the slow internet. However, I felt let down when I was charged for changing to a better room, which didn't feel very customer-friendly.
Location

The hotel is in a good spot, just a 15-minute walk to the waterfront, making it easy to explore the area. However, the noise from the nearby busy street could be bothersome.
Dining

There were no in-room coffee or tea options, which I missed during my stay. While the hotel was functional, it lacked some of the small touches that enhance the dining experience.

During my stay at Hotel Longhouse, I found the location to be a plus, just a short walk from the waterfront. However, the hotel felt a bit worn down, and the cleanliness of the pool left much to be desired. My room was functional but lacked some comfort and amenities you'd typically expect, like coffee or tea options.

My Deluxe Single Room was okay, but it definitely wasn't luxurious. I found it adequate but not lovely. The lack of electrical outlets by the bed was a bit annoying too.
Service
5.0
The staff were generally quick to respond when I needed help, especially when my Wi-Fi stopped working on the second day. However, I was a bit disappointed with how they handled my room change request, charging me extra when I switched to a quieter room.

I recently stayed at Hotel Longhouse for four nights. The location was a highlight for me since it was just a 15-minute walk to the waterfront. However, I did encounter some issues like a slow internet connection and the uncomfortable light switch placement. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there were areas needing improvement. 🌟

Rooms

The Deluxe Single Room was nice and equipped with a fridge and a small desk. Daily cleaning and towel replacements were a plus, but the light switch placement near the bed was awkward.
Service

While the staff was friendly, it was inconvenient that I had to ask them to refill my water bottle daily since the refill machine was off-limits. There was also an issue with moving rooms that resulted in an extra charge.

I had a budget-friendly stay at Hotel Longhouse, but it came with some downsides. While the location was convenient, my first room was far too noisy and needed a change. The staff was helpful in addressing my concerns, but the internet connection left something to be desired. Overall, I appreciated the price but felt the hotel could use some updates. 😕
